Google Blog Search, Still a Work in Progress

Here’s why the revamped Google Blog Search left me unimpressed:

Just how in the hell are they filtering and organizing content if the top stories in the Business category are from Huffington Post, Autoblog, and Daily Kos (there were 2 Daily Kos top stories, the other below the fold)? First impressions are everything for a product like this, I found little reason to return.

And then there was this press release emailed to me this morning:

Transom Capital Group announced today that it has acquired The Midwest Center for Stress and Anxiety (MWC). MWC is the leading provider of self-help and coaching programs to people who suffer from stress, anxiety, and depression.

Given the events in the financial markets this year, a stress and anxiety business is probably a pretty good one to get into for a private equity firm, plus they will get complimentary services for their own use and that alone could be worth it.
