Reiser Really Did Do It

Hans Reiser, creator of the open source ReiserFS file system, was convicted of murdering his wife back in April despite having not recovered the victim’s body. They have it now.
This trial was a pretty big deal here because of the tech connection (the comments on Slashdot following the guilty verdict were mildly amusing at times, mostly disturbing for their ability to reveal how misguided and cynical many people are) and the fact that Reiser himself is an arrogant prick who pretty much hated everyone and the world returned the favor. Lot’s of television coverage and I’d bet that fewer than 1% thought the guy didn’t do it… clearly the jury unanimously thought he did and they were right.
Convicted killer Hans Reiser led police Monday to what he said was the body of his wife in the Oakland hills, just two days before he was to be sentenced for first-degree murder, authorities said.
