Because government control of anything has the natural effect of bringing efficiencies to a market… it simply leaves me speechless to hear anyone outside of Hugo Chavez seriously suggest such a move and call it progress.
Among other things, the Democrats called for the government to own refineries so it could better control the flow of the oil supply.
