Your comment

"At any rate, put this in your “world is flat” file as exhibit A for the argument that pandering to local markets at the expense of much bigger markets is not a good strategy."

could not be more "spot on" in our "very flat world"

as Senator Obama just recently learned........

trying to connect with San Francisco donors at the expense of potential Pennsylvania voters is not a recipe for success

btw Hanger One is made at the old Alameda Naval Air Station

cheers

I am seeing a lot of interest in regional vodkas ... Esquire recommended Tito's Handmade from Austin a few issues back, haven't tried it yet. Here in Chicago I'm partial to a local boutique vodka (North Shore Vodka) which is super-smooth, if you can get past the fact that their distillery is located sandwiched between an upper-class community and a naval base.

Is Hangar the one made in Napa?

I do like Skyy a lot, it's a very clean vodka and not chasing any trends (e.g. Grey Goose).

Like Skky a lot, but my favorite vodka is Hangar (especially Hangar Lime) -- have you heard of it or tried it? It's Californian.
