I would love to see a market where all vendors could focus on their own message, and not have to bash competition.

Unfortunately, some vendors make it a blood sport, and it's impossible for their competition to take the high road and ignore it. Many parallels to politics. I know that if I didn't answer some of the most contentious claims that my competitors make , in a very public way, my product's business would be a lot worse off than it is. This is one of the main reasons I started blogging, though over the last few years, I've been able to spend a lot more time focused on my own story.
