This is a nice blog; it's amazing how the artificial trees have come along; they're almost like living Christmas trees except they don't cause allergies and you don't get that smell or the bugs.

Steve,
you can still have the glass(es) of wine in celebration or not. Speaking of which, we bought a case of cranberry wine while in Mass a few months ago... interesting and not in a bad kind of way.

The one I would suggest is what we started Thanksgiving with, J Winery's rose pinot gris. Simply outstanding.

Scented candles are nothing in comparison to walking into the room with a fresh Christmas tree. No comparison. The smell is the only reason I continue to shop the nearby tree farm every year.

yeah, I wondered about that too... the tree breaks down into 5 segments and there are two canvas bags included that store all 5, plus the stand. We'll see how it goes when I break it down, but it looks pretty reasonable.

We actually have one of those offsite storage pods for Christmas decorations (my wife loves Christmas, as do I, so we have a lot of stuff). This keeps everything together and I don't have to deal with it the other 11 months out of the year.

pls make sure my wife does not see this...only issue you will likely find is storing, and unpacking and packing tree each year takes a while...unless you have a loft where you put the whole thing...whole -)
