How could you write about social aggregators without mentioning the best one? 8hands is a desktop tool that aggregates all of your profiles into a nice interface and provides real time notifications upon any event. Since I'm a real social addict, I tried several aggregators and it is definitely the best. Saves me lots of time. You should check it out.

Thanks, Jeff. Good stuff. One detail I’d like to correct — the list of feeds supported by Plaxo Pulse (30) is not shorter than the list at FriendFeed (26).
