JFK is a nightmare no matter what airline you're on, but jetBlue has been under renovation for almost two years now. It'll be a relief when it's finally finished.

You might try going on www.measuredup.com to share your experiences with other airline travelers - Measuredup is a new customer service website where consumers post comments about companies they've had particularly good (or bad) experiences with.

Mike,
The lack of investment in airports, new and existing, is going to really bite us in the ass when passenger traffic grows to expected levels over the next five years.

Existing airports just can't handle many more flights, airplanes, and passengers. The reliance on major hubs is another problem given that a good percentage of those JFK passengers are connecting as opposed to exiting, which increases the facility load.

Do yourself a favor, get to JFK 2 hours in advance of your flight like I did, the stress level goes down considerably.

Must have just missed you. I flew into JFK on JetBlue last night, and it was a disaster. The flight was fine, but then we landed and sat on the tarmac for nearly half an hour because there was another plane at our gate. Then we pulled in, and discovered that we were in the makeshift "extra gates" area that Jetblue has built in what apparently used to be a parking lot or something. Of course, it's not at all connected to the rest of the airport, so you have to ride a van to the airport... and there are hundreds of people waiting to get into these 20 person vans. Yeah, so that took a while. Even JetBlue staff, who was standing in line with me were complaining and pointing out that they were going to miss their next flight.

I didn't actually get to the baggage claim until well after an hour after we landed.

Not looking forward to my flight back.

I've been a very happy JetBlue flyer for a while, but I'm definitely going to test out Virgin once it starts flying as an alternative.
