AT&T is pandering to Hollywood by suggesting they will develop software to eliminate piracy on their network, which I gather means that they will interrogate data packets before delivering them to users. Hmmmm… wonder if they will also make that available for child porn, spamming/phishing, corporate compliance, censorship and morality police in foreign countries, and other regulatory purposes?
My prediction is that not only will they find this to be technically unachievable but also something they will wish they never suggested they could do.
