There have been TV reporters going into schools and giving kids 5 minutes to produce a logo, and they come up with something much better! I have also heard professional graphics designers being interviewed and saying that this logo does not scale well - anything smaller than what you have put here will just look like a cerise splodge, and the bigger it gets, the more annoying it becomes! It's all the more ironic considering that this logo is also to be used for the Special Olympics.
