  1. The dow hasn’t gone up, the dollar has gone down. You’re looking at an index denominated in increasingly worthless paper.

    It was at 10,000 around 2000, and we’ve had %8pa inflation since then.

    If that were the case then the European exchanges would not be on the same trendline. The FTSE is 5000 to 6,555 in the last 2 years…

    The NIKKEI has outpaced everyone going from 11,000 to 18,000 in the same period.

    While the $ valuation always plays a part in this it isn’t the only factor, especially as investment has been moving to Euros as a consquence of the imbalance in valuation.
