Depends on What You Mean by “Blend”

This is an interesting story about advancement in wind turbine technology, but I had to laugh when I read this paragraph:
Other distinctive features include the drop-shaped turbine housing, which was designed by Sir Norman Foster, and the turbines towers, which are painted light green at their base to blend in with their surroundings.
Okay, check out the picture… blend in with the surroundings? From base to tip that thing has to be 750 feet tall with 3 massive 180 foot long spinning rotor blades. It’s huge and they probably don’t want it to blend too much else it become an aviation hazard.
