Tom,
The Operator plugin will go back in, the limitation with it and anything else that relies on microformats is that not a lot of sites support them. I like the Operator plugin, just didn't find a whole lot of utility to it (and truth be told) on a laptop screen I don't like a lot of toolbars.

I did not migrate cuz I'm old school :) I've had a lot of issues with Firefox so I wanted to go through my extensions one-by-one to see if there were any issues related to them. Also, with Foxmarks I get bookmarks synchronization so that's one big thing I did not need to migrate.

Sorry - another question Jeff. Why did you have to re-install the software? Why didn't you simply use Migration Assistant to copy your account from the old Mac to the new one?

Even Chris Pirillo is <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HELrxLdP85c" rel="nofollow">recommending</a> OS X now in favour of Vista!

Jeff, what happened the Operator plugin you posted about the other day?

Thank Jeff - that's what I needed to hear. I have to say that a year into becoming a Mac Fanboy, I'm pretty close to upgrading to Mac Bigot. Totally bizarre after 24 years on Wintel and not understanding the Mac back in '95. How things have changed?

At first it's a little frustrating but after you get to the first plateau and realize that the included apps from Apple are not toys but powerful apps in their own rite, well it all comes together.

This is why I dumped Outlook/Entourage. I realized that with apple mail.app, ical, and address book I actually had all of the pieces that I used in Outlook (well, Entourage because I used it on a mac) but they were automatically integrated into other mac apps.

I'll give Vista a try when it stabilizes and all the 3rd party vendors catch up, but I really can't see switching back to Windows from my mac at this point.

BTW, the new MacBook Pros with the Core2 Duo processors are very fast and run much cooler than the 1st gen MBP, which is what I replaced. Spend the extra $$ and get the 2.33ghz with 2mb of RAM, makes a big difference.
