An acquisition by a competitor and acquisition by a private equity firm are two entirely different scenarios. I think some of the big cap tech firms are prime targets for takeover in the latter scenario and in the end it could unlock a lot of shareholder value through breaking some of these companies up into smaller, more focused pieces.

There&#039;s no koolaid here, the amount of cash washing around in the big funds is staggering and with debt as cheap as it is their ability to raise this kind of cash is not the issue. Also worth pointing out is that the balance sheets for the companies in question are stable and healthy, which removes a big obstacle for doing these deals.</description>
