Killer App, by definition, is one that has great success in market place. Its an emergent property of the platform. Sometimes, you start with a killer app (Google Search & Ad Network) or music for iPod- and build out a platform that differentiates (Google's grid, Apple's 'personal device'). Others start with a platform (386 chipset, DOS, Windows, Internet) and then killer apps emerge.

Is Teqlo a platform or an app? If its a platform, the apps will come later- and one (or more) will become the killer.

Everybody gets asked this. I think what they are really saying is "I don't get it, why do I have to have this thing, and not some other thing". They are also saying, "yes, I see what it does, but I don't see your barriers to exit", and "I don't really understand network effects and how they work.... (but I love the word viral coz I don't waste money on marketing".
