I would specifically look for a product that features this technology. It’s hard to believe that with all the technology in broadcast television they still can’t regulate the sound of commercials to that of the actual programs. The guy from Jupiter is right when he says that with regular television audio this is no big deal but when you throw surround sound and a multi-speaker sound system in the discrepancy can be really startling.

The company, known for its surround sound advances, is scheduled to unveil a sound-leveling technology called Dolby Volume on Monday morning at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas that executives believe will finally eliminate the jagged audio discrepancies that exist between shows and commercials and even between scenes within the same movie or program.
