William “Cooler” Jefferson Win in LA, Business as Usual

When voters have the perception that all politicians are “crooks and liars” it is less shocking when evidence is produced that indicates a specific politician actually is. This is the danger that that the last 25 years of Congress has unleashed, the voting public has lowered the bar for ethics, and even legal behavior, dramatically as there is no standard bearer for a greater one. If we want clean politics then one party is going to have to take the lead in order to develop a contrast to the other.
