BTW, this is the last year that the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association will meet, apparently the numbers of survivors have diminished and those that are still alive are often unable to travel. I often hear the phrase &quot;passing of an era&quot; and in this case it&#039;s all too poignant as the passing an era has been in slow motion over the course of a decade. I would imagine it&#039;s similar to how the Civil War era passed in the next century as not only the generations slipped by but the Civil Rights Movement accomplished much of what that war began.</description>
