NewTeeVee Launches, Om is Forgiven

Om Malik (and Team, of course) launched a new blog last night, NewTeeVee.

“Okay, I have not been a good friend, and not a good son. (Hi mom & dad!) Hell, I have not even been a good scoop-reporter lately. Hopefully, you will buy my excuse. We have been busy working on launching new blogs, trying to expand the network into new territories.
At 6 pm on December 4th, we launched our latest blog, NewTeeVee.com. (http://www.newteevee.com) which is devoted to Internet Television, and all related technologies, people and start ups. This is the fun side of GigaOM, and hopefully the market is going to respond accordingly. “
I have been a big fan of Om from the moment I first discovered blogs, hell I think his blog was like the 3rd RSS feed I subscribed to. Combining his trademark sense for what the real story is along with a strong dose of “I don’t get it” skepticism will make for required reading on a space that is sure to get very frothy in the months and years ahead.
