Enterprise Conference vs. Office 2.0

This is exactly why I couldn’t wait to get out of big enterprise… all anyone talks about is “compliance” and the first part of any conversation is bound to begin with “here’s why it won’t work…”

OF COURSE I AM GENERALIZING SO STEP BACK FROM THE KEYBOARD.

But in all seriousness, the Office 2.0 conference was really high on optimism and that is something that runs in really short supply in enterprise IT.

SALT LAKE CITY — Ray Noorda, the Novell Inc. founder who battled Microsoft Corp. in the early years of network computers, died Monday of complications from Alzheimer’s disease. He was 82.
