Yup, Southwest and JetBlue "get it". IMO, Delta used to be by far the worst, but lately American Airlines has taken that spot. I'm a cheap SOB when it comes to plane tickets, and I will now gladly pay $50 PER PERSON to NOT fly AA.

America West used to be merely average, but thanks to support from US Air, they too are now pretty awful.

My other big gripe with flying is all the BS fees and taxes (thanks George!). On my last trip to England the taxes & fees were close to $200 PER PERSON. Unbelievable...

I am about to start traveling for business, but fortunately, I've already figures out a way to cut down on the amount of travel needed. I used to love flying but nowadays I'm only interested if I can go Southwest or JetBlue, who still go the extra mile for customer satisfaction and pleasant flying experience.

I have cancelled 2 trips and wish I could cancel more looking at my travel schedule the next 2 months...

BTW as of today they are letting shaving gel and toothpaste back on carry-ons...but only if bought in the "secure" stores past security. Guess which lobby passed that little amendment
