Control iTunes from a mobile device with PlayerPal

Posted by Jeff as Innovation

This is very cool. I am surprised that more companies haven’t figured out how to leverage PSP devices considering that they all have wifi, great graphics rendering (no surprise there), and it’s likely that PSP users are going to have a number of other digital entertainment devices. I really like my PSP, it always travels me and I am always on the lookout for new apps to run on it (Sony really does need to add a keyboard option, it would be way more usable as a computing device then).

PlayerPal is a Windows app that lets you control iTunes or Windows Media player from any web-enabled device. Like other apps of its kind, PlayerPal is basically a mini web server that you can log on to from a web browser and control your media player.
