Jeff...as an HR industry analyst, I am anticipating a well coordinate launch in the very near future. From some things I've heard going on over there, my expectations are very high. The "buzzwords" have been a nice buffer as he gets the product right.

Their is a huge number of existing PSFT customers that have been sitting on the sidelines. It is clear they don't want Fusion, many of them have resisted SAP's temptations, and most are ripe for the taking with the allure, appeal and loyalty that Dave has inspired in the HR world.

On the international front, PSFT had such a bad time with that - remember global payroll engine? We never believed it, it never really happened as advertised and it was years late. I hope they remember that when trying to build an all singing and dancing international HCM rules engine.

It is worrying that someone like Bruce would apply 90s (collegiate) industry thinking - I paraphrase/rephrase: 'Dave's got no problem getting funded, we all know and love him. Yeah, more of the same that we're comfortable with - we're good to go.' What with? What do these guys know that we don't?

Just cuz Dave is a genuinely nice guy and can afford to blow millions on a project that may or may not fly is not the same as getting funded by Ray Lane to go national/global. Plus SOX won't allow Dave to repeat some of the financial gymnastics PSFT got up to in the late 90s.

Jeff, I happen to agree with you. But while you personally are way ahead of the curve, in the field you and Oracle also are selling the "old" stuff...and Dave cannot afford to be too hip...
