I have been having a lot of problems with comment and trackback spam lately, for whatever reason the things that were getting trapped in wordpress' spam filter were getting through and I was spending up to 45 minutes a day cleaning it up.

I installed Automattic's Askismet plugin last night and this morning I didn't have a single spam comment that got through, over 100 were caught by Askismet.

Askismet is a must have plug in for Wordpress.
