Couple of thoughts: I would chat about the resurgence of the thick client, as display technologies (both hardware and software) radically improve. DPI is going way up, and Avalon enables even the most hard core business application to make use of animation and 3D for advanced visualization. Think about business versions of apps like Google Earth (or NASA's World Wind, which in some ways is better). Net-net: rich UI is back, better than ever, and it's not limited to Ajax.

I also suggest that there is a componentized but holistic view of business software emerging: using a cloud service like Salesforce BUT integrated with other mashups (AppExchange) AND more importantly also "integrated" with inside-the-firewall assets. Making biz apps 'locality' (inside/outside the firewall) transparent to users I think is going to be a big deal.
